Mentors and Training
Much of my oncology massage training is through Tracy Walton who is not currently teaching classes.

I took hospice massage with Irene Smith, hosted in Boston by Tracy Walton in 2019

I highly recommend courses with Healwell. They are based in the Washington D.C. metro area, but have wonderful offerings online. They cover oncology massage, hospital and palliative massage, scars, fascia, lymph, and deeper questions of how to be a better human in the world.

My fascial and scar work is informed by attending the Fascia Research Congress multiple times, and taking some of the additional courses around those events. I have also taken and been moved by Sharon Wheeler's ScarWork, you can find more about Sharon here as well. The course I took was taught by Cheryl Drake-Bowers in Charlotte, NC.

My manual lymph drainage training is through the Dr. Vodder School International. I have 160 hours of initial training which I completed in 2009, and I take a 20-hour recertification course every two years.

I completed my 750-hour massage program in 2005 at the Soma Institute in Chicago, IL.
